Summary
For the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final, the number of tickets available for club members to purchase is less than the total number of eligible Members. For this reason, a registration process is in place for eligible Members to access the competing club member Grand Final ticket allocation.
A list of eligible Members can be found here.
Eligible Members have also been sent the details contained in this article via mail.
Ballot Registration
Members require their 12-digit barcode number(s) for registration. These can be found within your MyMagpies account.
Regardless of which priority group you fall into, should you wish to purchase a Grand Final ticket, you must register through Ticketek on the day specified below (once we have qualified for a Preliminary Final).
Registration times will be separated according to membership priority group. To retain priority, members must register in the allocated timeframe.
It does not matter what time you register within your allocated timeframe, as all registrations within each priority group will be randomised to determine the order of ticket allocation.
You must register for the ballot online at ticketek.com.au.
Ticket Allocation
On the weekend of September 23 and September 24, if Collingwood has qualified for the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final, Ticketek would, using an automated system, randomly allocate tickets to priority group 1 members who registered, and then randomly allocate the remaining tickets to priority 2 members and priority 3.
Whilst P1 members who have successfully registered are guaranteed access to purchase a ticket, please keep in mind that Members are not able to select the location or price category of their allocated seat(s). This is where the ballot element comes into play.
If you are successfully allocated a Grand Final ticket, your credit/debit card will be charged at this time, without prior notification of the transaction.
Tickets will be allocated via ballot on a next best available basis and therefore members can receive either category 1-7 Reserved Seat, restricted view seat or standing room* ticket.
The credit card holder should have sufficient funds to potentially pay for category 1 tickets for all members registered in the transaction.
P1 Members must select that they will accept a standing room ticket to maintain guaranteed access to purchase a ticket. Although it's unlikely that a P1 Member would miss out for this reason, it is not impossibile.
